Nawah in Arabic mean stone fruit.
Is there an only stone fruit, an only land, an only sea, in a original paradise to muster a day the Mediterranean people? If the stone fruit have never been in life but we can have a doubt, Francoise Atlan, French women with Jew roots and who is living in Morocco and Moneim Adwan, Palestinian, who is living in Gaza created this stone fruit ; the time of Sephardic, Spanish, Arabic, Palestinian songs. The Hebrew is living near the Arabic which is living near the Sephardic and the Spanish language. The result is a long secret love song which travel on the board of Mediterranean and create the Unity. Traditional songs of their roots have been working, composing by the two musicians, text and music and accompanied by ‘ûd, sâz, bendir and percussions of the Franco-Iranian zarb player Bijan Chemirani. The love and the alchemy invite us to a deeply meditation of our possibilities to met the other.

A Galoubet & Narrow Drum French man player and a Hurdy-Gurdy French women player decided to cross the check-points of Gaza Strip, Ramallah, Bethleem, Jerusalem with their instruments and met Palestinian musicians.
In Gaza, they met Moneim and they worked together Occitan and Arabic texts with the inspiration of Fernando Pessoa and Mahmoud Darwish.
Miqueu Montanaro and Laurence Bourdin came back in France and invited Moneim to play in the “Joutes Musicales de Printemps of Correns” in June 2000.
The beginning of the French adventure for Moneim…
